*Functional role: Sr. BI Consultant*
*Location: San Francisco, CA(Locals Only)*
*Duration: 1 Year Contract*
*In person interview Required*
*Must have 10+ years of Experience*
*Top 3 skills: *
- Data warehouse- Move data models into- back end client models – Excel,
Power B.I, SSRS
- Tabular model (SSAS) – Must have to explain what they have done w/ BI
problems
- ETL packages (SSIS)
- Understand the visual model data and Data Modeling
- SQL server integration development (2012 or later is preferred)
- Power BI models
- Needs experience: page based reporting
- Experience in equal data base
- Must need Power B.I., Tabular or QlikView
This person will be pulling data into Tableau or QlikView (someone with
experience in account/financial reporting principles).
*Scope of Responsibilities*
*Months 1-2*
- Become familiar with the existing business intelligence architecture:
- Data warehouse
- Tabular model (SSAS)
- ETL packages (SSIS)
- Backup plans/source control/documentation
- Become familiar with the applicable schema of our ERP system
- Become familiar with communication tools and processes
- As part of the ramp up, perform analysis for active BI use cases;
contribution to design/development is ideal
- Perform technical QA for datasets/reports prior to business delivery
*Months 2-3*
- Task management/Maintenance
- Contribute to scheduling of ETLs, backups, model processing
- SQL hotfix/update functionality regression testing
- Contribute to business user documentation resources:
- Data dictionary
- BI platform manuals
- Contribute to data models, test plans, disaster recovery strategies
- Assist in the management of development tasks and bug triage via JIRA
*Month 3+*
- Write queries, perform data analysis to support business use cases
- Develop ETL packages
- Design Power BI, SSRS, Excel reporting solutions
