This includes the design and development of the project roadmaps and the recommendation and design of IT systems for hardware, software, and network technologies. The selected associate will also need to ensure that technical reviews of all applications developed follow the defined roadmap and are effectively designed in relation to the architecture. Experience working and interfacing at the C-level required. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and be comfortable presenting technical design, technical solutions and enterprise architecture solutions to clients/customers. Candidate should have excellent knowledge of Enterprise solutions and implementations and should be familiar with standard E-Business frameworks and models. Prior responsibility delivering final development of complex e-business solutions is a must. Experience working with an offshore company preferred but not required. In depth knowledge and experience in several of the following areas: Development of complex application architectures across platforms (Windows, Unix, Linux, z/OS, iSeries). Three or more enterprise level projects where the candidate has been responsible for technical architect Directory services (Active Directory, LDAP, Radius), networking technologies and protocols, systems security, systems management and monitoring, • IBM Mainframe systems and applications, systems integration (EAI/ETL Tools) Operations and support processes (Change Control, QA and Testing, etc.) development of international applications (Methods to account for language, currency, encryption, etc.), remote access solutions and technologies, Object-Oriented Design, Web Services, messaging solutions and technologies, messaging and transaction management. In depth knowledge and hands on experience in several of the following technologies: COM+, ASP, Visual Basic, .NET, C/C++, Java/J2EE, RDBMS, MS SQL, Oracle, DB2, Unix, Linux, WinTel, IBM Mainframe, Scripting, Internet Technologies, IBM WebSphere Suite SOAP, XML Qualifications & *Requirements:* Candidate should be process-minded with a strict regard to detail 10+ years experience in Information Technology. 5-10 years of experience in the design and development using Systems Development Life Cycle and Project Management Methodologies Three years hands on delivery of Enterprise level systems as the lead Architect Strong written and verbal communication skills required Strong presentation skills required Ability and willingness to travel extensively (80% or more) *• Architect must be well versed in system performance and network design. The successful candidate will have a detailed understanding of how systems scale both vertically and horizontally. Must be able to recommend system configurations based on non-functional requirements.
