Position: Business Analyst
Location: Austin, TX
Duration: 4 months + renewals
A. Serve as a Team Lead, facilitator or team member for 1 to 15
program/operational reviews of selected clients offices throughout the
state. Assignments to be made based on need and contractor
availability. No guarantee of the number of projects to be performed.
B. Provide subject matter expertise necessary to ensure accurate and
current information is used to develop findings, improvement
opportunities, and identify best practices associated with the
operations of the field office under review.
C. Make scheduled on-site visits along with Program Improvement staff
members to the assigned field office under review to conduct or assist
in conducting interviews and observations, and create flow charts,
questionnaires and spreadsheets and capture findings as outlined in
Program Improvement’s standardized Program Excellence Indicator System
Protocols.
D. Draft fully supported reports for each review or assigned portion
of a review conducted, detailing the contractor’s findings, and
providing all associated work papers to support each finding and
observation.
E. Respond to or assist in preparing responses to comments or concerns
pertaining to the draft report from staff members in both state office
and the field office under review.
F. Participate in training, work sessions and review sessions as
required to complete project deliverables.
G. Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
4 yrs exp in using Visio (transposing organizational charts,
developing flow charts), Excel, Word
4 yrs exp in Negotiating skills.
Excellent communication skills, and writing skills including the
ability to conduct research, gather data, analyze and document
information in a clear and concise manner.
Excellent skills and experience in facilitating.
• Degree or Equivalent Graduation from an accredited college or
university. One year experience may be substituted for a year of
education for up to four years.
Preferences:
3 yrs Work experience as a Business Analyst developing: Process
Flows, Procedures and Process Improvements.
4 yrs Experience analyzing processes and recommend improvements
4 yrs Experience analyzing problems and developing solutions
