Description:
The Senior Database Architect is responsible for designing, developing,
and implementing infrastructure to provide highly-complex, reliable, and
scalable databases to meet the organization's objectives and requirements.
Complete Description:
For the duration, this one FTE staff augmentation person will participate
in the following activities:
1.Oracle 10g Support: Provide continuity in support of Oracle due to
shortage of staff. Perform security updates for Oracle database software.
Provide Oracle Dataguard support for our failover response.
Provide Oracle Spatial support and transfer spatial knowledge to DBA
staff. Check system performance and present problems and solutions.
Maintain Oracle backups, exports, imports, and other scheduled tasks.
2. Implement Oracle 11g: Design project plan for Oracle 11g
implementation. Create database design. Perform database installation for
Oracle 11g and decommision of Oracle 10g. Design, install, configure, and
implement Oracle RAC. Design, install, configure, and implement Oracle
GoldenGate. Design and create database backup and recovery procedures utilizing
RMAN and exports.
3. Document and mentor DBA staff on all procedures taken.
