Job Description: This person will be part of a dynamic BI team with the role of
a Cognos Development Team Lead and Architect who will help to build a strong
analytics and reporting team and successfully implement and roll-out BI
solutions for the clients.
Job Requirements:
· 8 years of Cognos BI with 3 years experience in Cognos 8.x version
· Experience with Cognos Framework Manager, Report Studio, Metric Studio,
PowerPlay, PowerPlay Transformer and Analysis Studio
· 5 years of Oracle experience with ability to develop complex SQL Queries
· 3 years of BI Architect experience involving Data Modeling including
multi-dimensional modeling
· Engineer Cognos Framework Manager packages along with creating and
maintaining packages
· Good written and verbal communication skills
· Ability to transform business requirements into reports, dashboard and other
BI components
· Train junior developers to develop packages and reports
· Experience with design of business intelligence application solutions
including database design, ETL, report design and dashboard, analytics and KPI
· Experience with integrating Cognos 8 BI and Metrics Manager
· Ability to focus on priorities, work with various offshore/onshore teams and
meet
deadlines and provide regular status report to development manager
· Ability to adjust to onshore and offshore time zones
· Responsible for developing, implementing Analytics and Reports with multiple
report pages, prompts, calculations, nested queries, nested objects, and
variables working with applications and data
· Effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure business
environment to meet tight deadlines
Additional Desired Skills:
· Experience with Business Objects XI
· Experience with Cognos Administration
· Experience with Crystal Enterprise
· Knowledge on Medicaid System
