This individual will be responsible for development of ETL and
implementation. This is specifically to support Cognos KU-Care reporting
efforts, the Marketing Data Mart and Family Builder (SFDC) integration to
the data warehouse. All communication will continue to go through me,

*Job Summary: *
The ideal candidate will possess a combination of strong analytical skills,
ETL development expertise, PL/SQL & stored procedure knowledge, and
application of best-practice data warehouse architectural design. The role
will partner with our business customers to gather requirements, transform
these into specifications and work closely with fellow BI team members in
developing BI solutions to support our Cognos 8.4 BI system on an Oracle 11G
database, leveraging Informatica PowerCenter. Proven business knowledge of
utilizing BI applications in support of sales & marketing organizations is a
plus.

- Proactively identify, build, and maintain relationships with business
process owners and colleagues
- Capable of developing in both an Agile/iterative and waterfall
methodology
- Demonstrate solid ability to understand, analyze, and solve problems
- Proven best-practice experience with developing Informatica and Data
Manager ETL workflows and dependencies.
- Strong Oracle SQL / PL SQL and SQL Server understanding/knowledge,
including development of views, tables, stored procedures and techniques for
query optimization.
- Understanding of application of Cognos BI technology, including those
for metadata, reporting & analysis. (Framework Manager, Report Studio,
Analysis Studio, Metric Studio, Transformer, TM1)
- Understand the mechanics of project administration, project timelines,
budgets, issue tracking/resolution, and status reporting
- Produce quality deliverables on time and within budget

- BS or BA in computer science, business, or equivalent preferred.
- Proven track record of gathering user requirements and transforming
them into specifications sufficient to develop effective BI solutions.
- Development history of incorporating Salesforce.com, Oracle EBS and
other data sources into a BI data warehouse.
- 3+ years of ETL experience: Informatica required, Cognos Data Manager
desired
- Proven experience in Oracle development technologies such as PL/SQL.
- Strong SQL knowledge for utilization in query optimization and tuning
in a BI environment
- Knowledge and aptitude with Cognos 8 BI Suite (Query Studio, Report
Studio, PowerPlay Transformer, Metrics Studio, Event Studio, Data Manager,
Framework Manager, administration). Knowledge and aptitude with Cognos TM1
OLAP and TM1 client tools.
- Proven capability of integrating 3rd party sources into the data
warehouse, such as salesforce.com.
- Understanding of Oracle Internet Directory and LDAP technologies
- Source control and version control for change management, using
technologies such as VSS.
