*Position : Configuration Manager*

Candidate should be able to quickly ramp up on standards, policies and
procedures that govern configuration management activities at Fannie Mae.
They will also be required to provide after hour support at times during
deployments of core business applications. Having a good understanding of
SOX controls is a plus.
*Configuration Management Analyst will perform duties in the areas of
software configuration management, migration support, documentation, and
tool support. Candidate will consult with internal clients to define and
document requirements and develop workable configuration management software
and process design, develop, upgrade, customize, test, implement and
document software components. Ability to lead and/or participate in
cross-functional teams including small technical teams of both internal and
external (contracting) staff through various software life cycle phases, and
the rollout/implementation of Configuration Management automation and
upgrades.
5+yrs Change, Configuration, and Release management experience ensuring
compliance to regulatory, enterprise and cluster configuration management
standards.
3-5yrs experience using and administering standard CM tools (e.g., CVS,
Clear case, Clearquest, Subversion, Quality Center); should also have an
appropriate skill level surrounding Database Systems (e.g., Oracle, Sybase),
Servers (e.g. Solaris, LINUX) as applied to managing and scripting software
change and deployment processes. Must also be familiar with features
surrounding Configuration Management build and deploy automation concepts so
as to contribute to application migration towards the same.
Change Management Analyst provides service to business and development teams
managing change, standards compliance, tool administration and support. This
position requires the ability to assist development and business leads in
managing application and environment changes in structured manner ensuring
compliance with government, industry, and company standards, especially
where it concerns financial reporting applications and processes. CM analyst
will also provide process and tool training to customers and
support/facilitate meetings coordinating software change and release.
Secondary responsibilities include process engineering of change and release
management workflow as well as providing back-up to peers in release
management.
Qualified candidate has the ability to lead and participate in
cross-functional team meetings through various software life cycle phases
and support rollout/implementation of Configuration Management automation
and upgrades.
Must Have: CVS, Clearquest and Quality Center.
Familiarity with with Unix (Solaris/Linux) platform.
Nice to have: Clear Case and Subversion.*
