Lead QA Engineer needed for Integrator and NGPOSS applications and other
major projects. The individual will be expected to lead the test phase
activities including coordination of test environments, interface,
regression and user acceptance testing for Integrator and other major
programs. Other responsibilities include, up front analysis of business and
IT requirements, composing the test strategy for the team, identification of
tasks and resources needed to support new initiatives, close interaction
with Lead Analyst, Developers and other E2E resources to coordinate and
support project activities. Integrator and NGPOSS efforts require very
close coordination between the UMS, Service Delivery, NFMS, and other
applications. The canidate would be expected to work closely with
development/test, E2E, users and Network Engineering teams of all
applications involved.
Business Justification for filling this position: Complete in line below:
Hire 2 leads to support upcoming Integrator, NGPOSS, UMS, Atreus, and BMT
releases. The team currently consists of one Team Lead, 2 QA engineer II,
and 1 QA engineer. It should be noted that only one RFT person has more
than a year with the team. The other system tester’s in the group have been
exclusively consultants and not FTEs. With the critical nature of these
applications to the business and the increasing customer base it is vital
that we retain expertise in house so we are able to support critical
activities for this product while trying to leverage the cost savings of the
consultants . Our group plays a vital role in providing solutions for
complex problems found during testing activities and Qwest can not afford to
loose that knowledge.
