*Location: Phoenix, AZ*
*Length: 1 position 12.31.2010 and 1 position 3.31.2011*
*Rate: $40/hr*
*Install software, apply patches, manage file systems, monitor performance
and troubleshoot alerts.** **
**Incident management - System failure** **analysis and recovery; insuring
system consistency and integrity.**
Problem management - Ability to analyze problems, determine **root cause**,
propose solutions, and drive issues to resolution.** **
Proficient knowledge and practice of **Unix Shell scripting** **or Perl.**
Ability to deal with changing priorities and handle multiple projects.
Participation in oncall rotation in a 24x7 data center environment.
In-depth knowledge of Solaris 8,9,10, RedHat Linux(AS 3,4 & 5).
Minimum of 5yrs professional experience in a large to mid-sized data center
environment.
Experience with storage area networking as it applies to **systems
administration**.** **
Experience supporting applications such as **Informix**,** **Tibco**,
Veritas, EMC Networker a plus.**
**Bachelor's degree** **or** **equivalent work experience**.** **
Strong troubleshooting skills.
Excellent verbal and **written communication skills**.** **
Candidate must be highly motivated.*
