Job Title: Sr. Oracle DBA

About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Database Administrator with strong knowledge
of Oracle RAC technology.
Responsibilities:
. Administer and support large-scale Oracle 10g/11g RAC production
databases up to 1+ Terabytes in size in AIX and Linux environments
. Maintain Oracle databases in accordance with internal standards,
access control and security guidelines
Ensure high availability, timely backups and if necessary restores of
production databases
. Perform database optimization and performance tuning
. Work closely with developers to troubleshoot Oracle based
applications.
. Support the database application programming activities of the
development group
. Work with developers to promote code from dev/test into production
. Work with Oracle Support Services to resolve issues
. Provide off-hours on-call support and work off-hours as necessary
. Test and apply Oracle database software patches and upgrades
Required Skills:
. Minimum of 5 years of senior level Oracle DBA experience
. Experience with Oracle 10g/11g RAC databases in production
environments
. Demonstrated depth of knowledge of key Oracle technologies (e.g.
RAC, ASM, OEM/Grid Control, RMAN, Partitioning)
. Knowledge of AIX or Linux operating systems
. Experience developing, modifying and maintaining UNIX/Linux shell
scripts
. Working knowledge of CA Erwin data modeling tool
. Ability to work as a team player in a collaborative environment
They will have to be able to meet with the client in person in MA LOCAL
