We have a hot opening for....... Job Title: Sr. Data Warehouse Developer/ Architect Location: New York City, NY Duration: 6-12+ Months Contact- Long Term Data Warehouse Developer / Architect . Data warehouse Developer/Architect to create a data ware house and manage data mapping/ transformations from host systems to the data warehouse environment using Informatica (ETL). . Develop, test, maintain and enhance Repo IT's portfolio of applications, with particular focus on Management Reporting (OLAP) functions. . Develop, test and maintain interfaces between Repo IT's applications and other entities. . Work with business analysts to understand user requirements . Support the Quality Assurance team in the management and remediation of software defects . Adhere to software development standards, procedures and techniques . Collaborate effectively with project managers, business analysts, quality assurance and other team members . Ability to participate and represent the development function in the development and project lifecycles . Gain understanding of Credit Suisse's Repo business. . Work effectively with team members in other locations situated globally. . The candidate will be exposed to the complete software development lifecycle and will be expected to work with business analysts and from functional specifications to implement the solution and oversee deployment. . Global scope of Repo's applications and the Repo IT team requires occasional night and weekend work. . Possibility of occasional travel to Raleigh, London or Singapore for meetings with project team members. Data Warehouse Developer / Architect Required Skills: . Proven track record (over 5 years) and hands-on experience in modeling data warehouses. . Strong hands-on experience with ETL tools including creation of ETL specifications, mappings and workflows in Informatica. . Ability to partner with Business Analysts and developers to gain a solid understanding of organizational, operational and business needs . Proven track record in dealing with medium - large data warehouses. Initial estimate for Data warehouse is about 500G - 1 TB. Candidate will be expected to partner and influence the Data architect/ Data warehouse modeler to ensure performance throughput and other systemic requirements. . Experience in financial products/systems/ Investment Banking is expected. The reporting framework will require meeting audit, legal and compliance and banking requirements. Experience in Information management (including segregation of views, entitlements) expected. . Strong proficiency in SQL on Oracle 10G is required. Sybase exposure is a strong plus. . Good verbal and written communication skills. Interaction with Business users and Senior IT counterparts (globally) is expected. . Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment is essential. Candidate must have attention to detail; have the ability to work independently and also as part of a group; have a willingness to learn new skills and do whatever is necessary to "get the job done". Suitable candidates will be results-oriented, goal-driven self-starters. . Demonstrates professional development. Good to have (Strong plus): . Understanding of Repo business and relevant IT experience. . Exposure to Business Objects XI R2 preferred. . Exposure to cube based solutions (OLAP/MOLAP) - Hyperion preferred.
