Reviews and revises database designs and ensures that all technical and business requirements are met. Builds database structures based on detailed design. Performs database testing to ensure performance is met and compare with expected results. Provides support during the system implementation and production. This position will focus on database configuration, performance, stability, capacity planning activities, development and production IMS DBA activities for applications and special projects. The candidate must have experience with IBM mainframes, working with z/OS, and IMS databases. IMS DBA skills are a must. *Skills:* • Requires BA/BS in Computer Science or Information Systems • 7 or more of industry experience required in information systems and 5 or more years of experience in database administration or related disciplines; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. • Requires detailed business knowledge, detailed technical design knowledge, knowledge of database administration techniques and database administration tools. • Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills required. • Experience and demonstrated proficiency preferred in utilizing *IMS DMBS*management tools from IBM and BMC, as well as demonstrated proficiency implementing the majority of new IMS features and functionality in both a development and production environment • Experience with transaction processing and IMS/DB interaction with IMS/DC and CICS-DBCTL. • Excellent skills regarding coding efficient SQL calls and other detailed performance characteristics of relational and hierarchical database management systems (DBMS). • Experience in large IMS environments with partitioned databases and multiple environments supporting the SDLC. • Experience working with HALDB and/or NEON and toolkits. • Experience in developing database requirements for projects and ensuring that new systems comply with database strategies and architectures. • Proven experience providing implementation and ongoing support for IMS based applications and databases. • Experience with translating detailed design into physical database structures. • Experience developing testing criteria and performing database testing BA/BS Degree or Equivalent Experience -- Yes *Thanks and Regards, **A.Vikram reddy** Nihaki Systems Inc contact:+1-7328236471x110 email:[email protected] Yahoo: vikram.recruitr11 www.nihaki.com* -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "OracleD2K" group.
