Rate:Open Longterm contract Job Description: *MAJOR DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES and ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:* • Oracle Databases (10g,9i) - Install, build, patch and tune. • Oracle Dataguard/Oracle Standby databases. • Oracle performance tuning. • RMAN or major backup packages. • Logical and Physical Database design. • Oracle Advanced Replication/ Real Application Clusters/VCS for Oracle. • SQL, PLSQL, Shell scripting. • Data warehousing/OLAP. • Grid Control/9i OEM. • Provide accurate time tracking details and appropriate metrics for work performed. * * *ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:* • Candidates must have experience administering/creating Oracle 10g/9i/ on UNIX and/or Linux platforms. • Experience with High Availability database solutions/architectures such as Veritas Clusters, Oracle Advanced Replication, Oracle Standby Database/DataGuard or Oracle Real Application Clusters. • First hand experience with RMAN and one of the major backup packages. • Must have excellent SQL, PL/SQL, and shell scripting skills.
