JOB DESCRIPTION

This position is responsible for installation, support, and maintenance of
enterprise ALM process. Focusing on Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS),
the Administrator works on the administration team interacting with several
IT managers to refine, maintain and deploy the company's Application
Lifecycle Management process utilizing TFS, SharePoint and other similar
tools.

Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Team Foundation Server versions 2008 and
2010

Maintain advanced technical knowledge in current and emerging ALM
strategies, especially in the Microsoft stack.

Work with the enterprise architects and management to help refine and
implement the company's ALM strategy.

Serve as a development process expert. Understand the personalities,
business processes, challenges, and existing technical architecture related
to an assigned business area.

Assist in creating and troubleshooting builds, release management,
configuration management and deployment of various software applications.

Complete appropriate documentation for technical designs, process
engineering, and project decisions as they relate to TFS usage.

Create and maintain backup/restore plans as well as disaster recovery plans
for TFS and SharePoint installations.

Develop and/or modify Project Portals, Team Sites and Work Item Templates
enforcing governance guidelines produced by enterprise architects.

Assist and guide proper Source Code Branching and Merging strategies.

Design and develop Reports and Dashboards from the TFS Warehouse Data

Help identify and track appropriate measures of success, including technical
and process related metrics

Conduct research as required on new ALM technologies, and help develop best
practices and patterns to aid in the adoption of new technologies that are
appropriate to the company's requirements.

Develops and maintains positive working relationships with team members and
other stakeholders, including business partners and all levels of IT
leadership.

Conduct all daily interactions to the highest standard of professionalism
and integrity, with respect for diversity and an appreciation of the
different views and perspectives of each team member and role.



JOB REQUIREMENTS

QUALIFICATIONS:

At least five years' development/administrative expertise in a large IT
organization

At least three years' experience in Microsoft development technologies

At least three years' experience as a software developer, at least some of
the time with technologies like C#, ASP.net, WCF, BizTalk, and WPF.

At least two years' experience as a Team Foundation Server (TFS)
administrator

Advanced knowledge and ability to apply SDLC concepts, including traditional
waterfall and Scrum concepts.

Advanced knowledge of the capabilities and appropriate application of a wide
variety of technologies, including but not limited to C#, .net, WCF,
BizTalk, IIS, data caching, relational databases, data warehouses and more.

Advanced planning and organizational skills.

Outstanding written and verbal communication skill, including the ability to
run meetings and present information to a large, diverse audience.

Strong knowledge of software design artifacts and tooling.

Bachelors degree in computer science, business administration, or related
field, or equivalent work experience.

Ability and desire to take ownership of work assignments and drive tasks to
completion.
