Funding Technology Systems is part of Firmwide Technology. These systems compute the cost of funding trading activity. This ensures that the firm is financed in the most efficient, cost-effective way possible and provides transparency, control and reporting on the use of the firm’s funds. The Funding Technology team partners closely with the Funding and Regulatory controllers as well as Operations users to develop projects and provide detailed support and analysis to the business. The Funding Technology team comprises 20 developers in London, New York and Bangalore. We are seeking a dynamic, creative technologist to join the Funding Technology team to work on strategic business aligned development projects. Responsibilities: The primary responsibility of this position will be to understand the Funding Controllers’ business and functional requirements and to help develop technical solutions to these. In addition, the successful candidate will need to learn the existing system and product lines in order to support the system and the controllers who use it. The main project this year is part of a global Funding Technology initiative to support the firm's eagerness to embark on a new business opportunity in Bank: an extremely high-focus project with crucial deliverables and complex requirements, involving calculations of sophisticated debt instruments. This is a developer role, and candidates should expect to spend the majority of their time developing code, working with the technology teams and technical architects in London, New York and Bangalore. The position offers a fantastic opportunity to learn and develop software using a test driven development (TDD) approach, with exposure to all aspects of the project lifecycle and across several major applications which support controllers’ workflows. This environment will give you great insight into the business and a tremendous opportunity to interact directly with a diverse group of technical and business users.
