Need to travel to France 40% of the time* Description : - Strong exposure to performance testing concepts and end-to-end performance web performance measures (server response time, throughput, network latency, etc.) - Ability to define performance test scenarios based on the non-functional requirements - Ability to prepare test plans, test scripts, test results and other documentation - Hands-on experience in scripting languages like Perl and shell script, including ability to code basic load test scripts. Programming skills in Java will be an advantage. - Strong experience in one of the commercial or open source load test tools (e.g., JMeter) to monitor, gather, and report application performance - 5+ years experience in designing and executing system performance tests and in working with sizing models to predict whether a system will meet the expected load - Strong UNIX knowledge, including Linux OS (both hardware and OS software) and Windows. - 5+ years of experience in the context of a telecommunications provider or Multi-service operator with at least two of the following items: - IT system design and implementation - Network/IP design and implementation - Video Operations management - Broad overview and understanding of the Operations and System Architectures of MSOs involved in Video content delivery and management and relevant technological developments in this domain. - Implementation experience with relational database systems (especially Oracle DB experience) and web server technologies including XML, HTML, HTTP/S andWeb Services / SOAP protocol. - Experience with IBM Websphere WAS and WPS - Advanced J2EE application testing knowledge - Broad understanding of TCP / IP networking. - Knowledge of enterprise IT systems and telecommunication network infrastructure including high availability and security requirements. - Proven people and project management skills - Strong analytical test design/test planning and technical trouble shooting skills, especially in the areas of load and performance testing. - Ability to learn new tools and technologies quickly - Experience in collecting data, performing analysis on that data and preparing reports - Ability to work with cross functional project teams to define performance metrics and acceptance criteria.
