Position : PL/SQL Developer Location Santa Clara,CA 6+ MONTHS Contract DESCRIPTION: The Senior PL/SQL Developer position is responsible for: Analyzing requirements for various customers and designing a common framework for solving integration, ETL, large volume processing and data management problems in large scale production systems. Design and implement Store Procedures for Integration, Data transformation, Data Validation, Batch Job processing and more with using packages like dbms_sql, utl_file, utl_smtp, dbms_lock, dbms_crypto, dbms_ldap, dbms_output, etc. Design and implement database schemas, views, tables, triggers, sequences, audit tables. Work with QA team to develop test data, test scenarios, and automated testing tools. Create data partitioning and database rotations required for performance for data warehousing. Analyze queries, optimize and tune performance. All candidates must meet the following minimum requirements in order to be considered for this opportunity. Candidates who exceed minimum qualifications may be considered for a higher level position. General Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Math, Physics, or Engineering. Solid knowledge of SQL language, data type, DDL, DML and DCL statements, knowledge of out of the box oracle packages. 10 years using Oracle 10g/11g, Microsoft SQL server. 8 years experience writing store procedures, creation custom packages and functions. 5 years experience doing data translation, large scale data integration and batch processing and real time communication 5 years of Java experience, experience with large data sets and with time translations. Be able to travel up to 10% to attend customer calls. May be required to work extended hours, carry a pager/cell phone and be on call. The following requirements are desired and will be used to differentiate all candidates who apply for this position. Masters’ degree or advanced degree in Computer Science, Math, Physics, or Engineering. DBA and DB Security Administration skills. Experience writing product code for software organizations. Experience debugging, optimizing and improving performance of PL/SQL code using a PL/SQL developer studio tool.
