Core Java language skills to a very advanced level - Proper TDD (test driven development) - Agile development - Domain experience (IB * Equity Derivatives preferred) Main Function: Enhance and maintain an in-house multi tiered application that provides various kinds of reconciliations (Pnl, Positions etc) between Front Office systems and back office systems for both Middle office and Product Control in the Equity Derivatives business. Candidate will work on a core Java backend and a C# front end and will work directly with the Middle Office and Product Control groups to deliver high impact enhancements that improve their control function. Candidate must be self-starter who feels comfortable reaching out to many different technical and business groups to devise a solution to a reconciliation requirement. They should have varied abilities (technical and interpersonal) as the project is based with a very small team with a lot of functionality and infrastructure improvements in the queue. In addition, they need to be able to document their solutions, primarily for the ongoing support of the system, and be well aware of best practises regarding change management. Basic business knowledge of Equities is required. Additional knowledge of Options, Structured products, as well as Financial and Accounting is highly desired.
