Urgent position: Only for GC/Citizens Location: Parsipanny NJ Rate:$DOE Duration: 9-12 months SQL Server 2005\2008 Developer\Junior DBA Client is currently looking for experienced SQL Server 2005/2008 Sql Server Coder to fill long-term contractor positions. All candidates must have 5-10 yrs experience designing and developing using SQL Server. Must have strong experience with T-SQL, performance tuning, SSIS, SSRS and SSAS. The person will regularly interface with business partners, including end users, to ensure database solutions are available, accurate, secure, and developed according to application or business requirements. Involvement or understanding of data entry website development and performance tuning is a plus. Skills Required SQL Server 2000\2005\2008 SSIS SSRS Performance Tuning Strong T-SQL skills Experience defining ETL Strategies in Sql Server 2005/2008 SSAS • 5-10 years’ experience designing and building medium to large scale SQL Server database solutions with recent emphasis on the SQL 2005/2008 platform. - Design, document, implement, and maintain the smooth operation and physical design of organization databases, conduct performance tuning of indexes and databases in general, review database designs and the integration of systems, and analyze future requirements to meet customer needs and maintain databases with current technology - Excellent written and verbal skills with a strong work ethic. - Maintain security and integrity controls. Formulate procedures and standards relating to database management and monitor transaction activity and utilization. - Develop stored procedures or triggers Qualifications (i.e., software(s) to be used, skills required, work experience, etc.) Bachelor’s degree in computer science or information systems, equivalent work experience or training certification; plus 4 to 6 years work experience. 4 to 6 years of current experience in Database Management Software, case tools, and systems development methodology. 4 to 6 years experience in systems development, coding and testing. Current hands on experience with MS SQL Server 2005. Excellent customer service and verbal communication skills, including the ability to converse with end-users regarding business requirements and system issues. Strong analytical, logical thinking, teamwork, and written communication skills. Experience in the conversion of SQL Server 2000 to 2005 to SQL Server 2008 is highly desired. Experience using Quest and Red Gate SQL Server tools is desired. Experience with designing, implementing, maintaining and deploying SSIS packages. Experience in performance tuning and working with developers in providing best in class solutions. Experience with data encryption and server security is highly desired.
