Duration: through August 31, 2013 (2 years)

Title: Web Developer



The selected Worker will be assigned to work for the Applications Services
Division of the Texas Water Development Board (TWDB).  The Worker will work
under the direct supervision of the Team Lead of Application Services. The
Worker will be responsible for performing complex web application
development following a defined software development life cycle process
working as a member of a team supporting WIID Rewrite Project.  The worker
will be required to use current software design/development
methods/techniques, Microsoft development tools and relational database
management technologies to ensure quality and maintainability of
applications and systems.  The individual will participate in and play a key
role in aspects of software development activities, including requirements
gathering and documentation, writing code, QA and testing, and delivery.

Analysis and/or development experience in the full range of the Software
Development Life Cycle (SDLC), which includes application design, coding,
testing, debugging, and application deployment.

Object-Oriented Analysis, Design, and implementation skills

Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio .Net 2008/2010.

Experience developing web applications using CSS, JavaScript, ASP, ASP.NET,
C# Net and .NET framework for IIS 6.0+.

SQL skills with MS SQL server 2000 and/or 2005. Includes understanding
database structures, designs, and development of stored procedures, and
queries.

Access and Informix a plus



Development of web applications based upon or compliant with any of the
following:  1) Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards for

guidelines (CSS and XHTML 1.0).



Requirements and design experience utilizing UML 2.0



Excellent communication skills, written and oral, with people of all
technical levels
