Duration:12 - 18 months+
Client : TWDB / State of TX
Description:
All work products resulting from the project shall be considered
“works made for hire” and are the property of the TWDB. TWDB may
include pre-selection requirements that potential Vendors (and their
Workers) submit to and satisfy criminal background checks as
authorized by the Texas law. TWDB will pay no fees for interviews or
discussions, which occur during the process of selecting a Worker(s).
The selected Worker will be assigned to work for the Applications
Services Division of the Texas Water Development Board (TWDB). The
Worker will work under the direct supervision of the Team Lead of
Application Services. The Worker will be responsible for performing
complex web application development following a defined software
development life cycle process working as a member of a team
supporting WIID Rewrite Project. The worker will be required to use
current software design/development methods/techniques, Microsoft
development tools and relational database management technologies to
ensure quality and maintainability of applications and systems. The
individual will participate in and play a key role in aspects of
software development activities, including requirements gathering and
documentation, writing code, QA and testing, and delivery.
II. WORKER SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Requirements:
Years Skills/Experience
5 Analysis and/or development experience in the full range of the
Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), which includes application
design, coding, testing, debugging, and application deployment.
5 Object-Oriented Analysis, Design, and implementation skills
5 Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio .Net 2008/2010.
5 Experience developing web applications using CSS, JavaScript, ASP,
ASP.NET, C# Net and .NET framework for IIS 6.0+.
2 SQL skills with MS SQL server 2000 and/or 2005. Includes
understanding database structures, designs, and development of stored
procedures, and queries.
Preferred:
Years Skills/Experience
1 Microsoft Reporting Services.
1 MS SQL Server DTS and SSIS tools
Access and Informix a plus
Development of web applications based upon or compliant with any of
the following: 1) Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards for
accessible websites (Section 508); 2) w3.org web content accessibility
guidelines (CSS and XHTML 1.0).
Requirements and design experience utilizing UML 2.0
Excellent communication skills, written and oral, with people of all
technical levels
