I have a Minneapolis MN client that needs a Sr. Voice/Data Engineer. *Senior Voice Engineer* *Summary* Position is responsible for technology engineering and support of the internal voice technologies used at our client Voice technologies include, but are not limited to call routing, toll-free, PBX, voice mail, voice over IP, Contact Center systems and applications, and all other technologies related to voice technologies. This person will engineer, design, deploy and support voice technologies as well as set strategic direction to meet business initiatives. This person will work closely with business personnel and other areas of Information Technology to gather business requirements and drive strategic initiatives. *Responsibilities* - Consult with business users to obtain requirements, specifications and agree on timeframe for completion of assigned requests. - Interface with various vendors – Cisco, AT&T, Verint, Nuance and others. - Write detailed requirements, system design, program functions, and steps required to modify network and voice systems. Review specifications with business user to ensure compliance with requirements. - Work with business users to develop and implement acceptance test plan to ensure that product meets customer requirements and expectations. - Train end users and assist technical support staff on use of application systems software as needed. Assist less experienced staff in user specifications, coding, testing, and debugging. - Adhere to department, IT and corporate standards for project and process development and reporting. - Troubleshoot production problems within assigned software applications. - Other duties as assigned *Requirements* - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience. - Minimum 6 years broad-based experience with voice technologies. - 6-years Cisco voice technology experience, including CUCM, Unity, Gateways, VoIP, QoS. - 2-years Cisco data network experience (layer 2/3, firewalls, DNS/domains). CCNA preferred. - Experience in a corporate, multi-site telephony and Contact Center environment. - Experienced with formal Change Management, formal validation and other ITIL principles. - Must be self-motivated with excellent communication skills. Able to deliver results in a high-energy/high-pressure environment. - Preferred; Cisco IPCC and CVP, AT&T Route-IT, Nuance ASR/TTS and advanced feature experience, CTI, IVR. - ITIL Foundation-level certification preferred.
