Urgent Position: Location: Livingston, NJ Rate: DOE Duration: 6-9 months In-person interview required!! Technical Writer with SQL Coding exp: JOB DESCRIPTION: This position is to perform the efforts required: 1. To produce a technical specifications document that shall document the program flow, third-party program dependencies, data dependencies and hardware needs; 2. To produce low-level and high-level flowcharts of the in-house custom software application program. 3. To produce a Traceability Matrix (forward and backward) that will document requirements, code and design; 4. To produce a Systems Analysis document, showing dependencies, which will permit enhancements by any experienced developer with a familiarity withT-SQL or SqlServer; 5.. S/He will be responsible for attending weekly project meetings and other meetings as necessary; preparing meeting and presentation materials; and communicating project status to various audiences. Responsibility: The Technical Writer will be responsible for day-to-day responsibilities for the documentation of the in-house custom software application program. The candidate will be required to attend twice-weekly meetings: Monday morning meetings to submit week's goals and Friday morning meetings that summarize the previous work week attainment of expected goals and discussions of missed goals. The Technical Writer shall also be responsible for reassessment of schedule and delivery timeframes. Additionally, a daily progress log will be maintained by the Technical Writer chosen for this assignment. Requirements: 1. Can collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs); 2. Some SqlServer/T-sql - little coding 3. Database expertise and experience developing in a SqlServer environment; 4. Within the last five (5) years, the Technical Writer shall demonstrate four (4) years of experience with application documentation, three (3) of which are at the lead level; 5. Within the last seven (7) years, the Technical Writer 6. Experience in documenting existing in-house database systems and writing application technical guides within the last four (4) years 7. Experience interacting with a software development team in a SqlServer environment using T-Sql within the last four (4) years. 8. Works well in structured project environment with defined timelines 9. Excellent communication skills written and verbal 10.
