Position Description: The focus of this position is to lead the performance testing workstream for a Point of Sale (POS) upgrade project at client site. This contract role will be approximately 4 months in duration. The goal of performance testing is to proactively identify and resolve application and architectural issues related to scalability under high user or transaction volumes. The ideal resource would have a strong technical background related to system architecture, strong communication and leadership skills, and significant expertise with the HP Automated Testing Tools: LoadRunner / Performance Center and QuickTest Professional (QTP). Client uses a risk-based approach to identifying performance testing scope, and the performance test lead will need to collaborate with multiple technical and functional teams to identify and categorize the risks in the architecture. Some performance / volume tests may need to be executed manually, so it will be important to have experience facilitating testing across multiple technical resources.
