Position: Network Administrator Location: Des Moines, IA Duration: 3 months + ( 3-9 months extension ) Description: The successful candidate must meet the requirements and possess the experience and capabilities listed below: Able to start immediately. A work history demonstrating strong customer service skills and excellent work ethic behaviors. Must have full time technical experience with complex network environments and firewall support to include data network implementation, maintenance, analysis and support using Cisco family of data networking products. Thorough working knowledge of network fundamentals including IP networking, topologies and security concepts. Skills must include network switching, routing, IP addressing, Internet connectivity and security techniques. Experience with advanced diagnostics equipment and tools, routing protocols, network management tools, remote access, Ethernet, and WAN technologies. Strong preference for Unix scripting skills (e.g. Perl, Bash, TCL cURL), Apache HTTP server, Unix/Linux OS. This position requires superior analytical and problem solving and project management skills, and the ability to apply these skills to deliver quality customer services. Ability to work and communicate with management, co-workers and customers. Ability to lift computer equipment (less than 50 lbs.), boxes containing products to be installed or documentation and other materials related to system support. Ability to travel to customer and/or equipment sites (greater DM area). Ability to complete assignments timely and submit weekly status reports indicating progress on assigned tasks, performance against assigned project due dates, and identification and suggested resolution for issues having a potential to adversely impact performance and/or the project. Shall maintain a positive working relationship with coworkers, supervisors and customers and present a positive team environment and customer focus. Shall adhere to DAS ITE work rules.
