You will be responsible for designing and implementing BI solutions and implementing BI solutions and for providing senior level business and technical leadership to the BI solution team. If you are a Data Warehouse Admin/Developer with experience in Federal, State or Government markets, Extra Points! This position will support our public sector client who is based in Sacramento, California. *Skills/Experience Required/Desired:* • 8-10 years of total information technology industry experience • 4-5 projects with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and/or SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) • Minimum five years* experience implementing dimensional data models • Strong proficiency analyzing source data and creating staging designs and dimensional data models including but not limited to: slow changing dimensions, star schemas with surrogate keys, etc. • Data Warehouse Data Modeling experience and familiarity with the Data Modeling tool Erwin is required. • Experience with requirements definition and contribution to a formal Functional Requirements Document. • Ability to work with business users gathering requirements, translating those requirements into a technical solution, creating and changing a dimensional data model design and ETL design, and implementing in a production data warehouse environment for business reporting and analysis • Able to document design changes in a detailed design document, Logical Data Model, and Physical Data Model. • Able to assist client with unit and integration testing of all development effort changes • Experience in developing and implementing testing plans for and coordination of User Acceptance Testing. • Prior experience with training/knowledge transfer for users on database design, ETL scripts, and maintenance processes. • Must demonstrate previous experience with ETL scripting using SQL Server SSIS.
