*Should be able to write Java code samples.*
Market Data API's
FIX Protocol (straight FIX or FIXML)
electronic trading in the Fixed Income & Futures Markets --
either IDB or B2C markets (i.e. ICAP, TradeWeb, Bloomberg, Trading
Technologies,
etc...)
Hands-on experience with Core Java/J2EE Senior (with Solid experience with
JBOSS, JMS, XML, JAXB, POJO, etc.)
General Skills:
Domain Knowledge: Interest Rate Derivatives (ideal), Bond
Math and/or Fixed Income electronic Trading
High Frequency / Low Latency Trading
Multi-threading
FIXML & FPML
JBOSS, Hibernate, Swing
The person they are looking for would need to be fluent in the IRS product
space. For example know about how the analytics on these products work,
how the products is defined and modeled in FpML, and what the various
attributes mean, know how they are quoted / traded from a front-office
perspective, understand how they are traded from an electronic trading
perspective using FIX protocol, know how an Order Matching algorithm works,
etc…
The Key is IRS, but they would consider someone that has hands on
experience with other Fixed Income products (for example US Treasuries,
Corporate Bonds and Muni Bonds) in an electronic trading space (electronic
trading with FIX is a must have)
Alternatively, if someone that had FIX experience with Equities and
developed high-frequency-low-latency Order Matching algorithms, they could
be molded to what they need…
