Job Title: Sharepoint Architect/Administrator Location: Rye, NY Duration: Long Term Job Description: Microsoft Office SharePoint Server Architecture / Administration familiarity with SqlServer administration and light database design Deployment and configuration SharePoint server farm, database, and site collection configuration, design, deployment, and administration Experience with deploying and securing SharePoint site collections Experience with Microsoft SharePoint Security model, events, alerts, and workflows Experience with Microsoft SharePoint Server farm topology and SharePoint shared service providers Management, Monitoring and Maintenance of a SharePoint Farm Configuration and administration of SharePoint portals and servers Installing and maintaining Microsoft SharePoint and related software, including tools, purchased applications and software that run on SharePoint. Evaluating patches to determine if, and when, they should be applied to our environments. Resolving technical issues with the SharePoint environments, working with other teams and vendor resources. Researching, evaluating and recommending additional tools when required to address business requirements. Ensuring SharePoint has an appropriate backup and recovery plan, and ensuring that the backup/recovery plan is validated periodically. Managing system security; system patching and upgrades; deploying custom developed and third-party SharePoint solution packages Configuring SharePoint services and settings Documenting SharePoint configuration and architecture Managing site quotas and file size limits Reviewing and monitoring usage reports Administering and maintaining sites and sub-sites; managing security for sites and sub-sites; managing the site layout structure and content. Configure, deploy, and support SharePoint-based solutions Follow and evolve SharePoint governance practices Provide support for SharePoint deployments; facilitate deployments and to troubleshoot issues as necessary Experience with SharePoint migrations Assisting with developing site information architecture and governance Self-motivated to deliver projects and proactive support for ongoing SharePoint farm monitoring and maintenance in a hosted environment Interfacing with internal customers and external clients to define SharePoint requirements Experience in participating in virtual teams This position will be on call 24x7 to assist with problem resolution relating to the SharePoint system Monitor Remedy for break/fix support Responding to user support and maintenance requests.
