Details: Location: Sacramento,Ca Term: 2+yrs *Data Architect* *Profile Description* The Data Architect will be responsible for architecting, designing and providing oversight to the development and implementation of system data. *Responsibilities (include but are not limited to the following) * · Architect solution to identify and load data from disparate sources originating from multiple applications across the enterprise. · Provide oversight to design and develop the database logical and physical data model for normalized and denormalized data structures · Architect data migration strategy for the system · Architect reusable and proven design patterns to extract, transform and load data · Design federated solution to access and store data · Design schema definitions for OLTP and OLAP databases · Provide oversight to design and develop data warehouse model and semantic layer. · Develop standards that govern the strategy to collect metadata · Implement best practices and standards to analyze, profile and store data. · Develop and document standards and guidelines to govern the use of data integration tools and processes · Additional experience in sizing, tuning and data analysis is a plus *Technical Requirements * · Hands on experience working with IBM DB2 relational database in a large scale project environment. · Hands on experience with InfoSphere Information Server (IIS) tools is essential – DataStage, QualityStage, Business Glossary, Metadata WorkBench, FastTrack and Information Analyzer . · Experience with the PowerDesigner modeling and metadata management tool. · Experience with using Business Object and supporting tools – Web Intelligence, Crystal Reports, Dashboard Design/Xcelsius, Universe Designer, InfoView Portal etc · Deeps knowledge of Structured Query Language is required · Hands on Experience working in Windows and UNIX based operating systems such as AIX is an added benefit. *Additional Requirements * · Hands on experience with Data Analysis, Data Modeling (Logical and Physical), Database Design, Data Integration, Data Warehousing methodologies etc. · Possess an end-to-end vision to understand: § how a logical design translates into one or more physical databases § how data flows through successive stages of the overall solution · Possess a strong desire to establish standards and implement best practices · Ability to document reusable standards, guidelines and best practices to be used by the project team · Work with Solution Architect to ensure that solutions complement the system architecture and conforms to the enterprise architecture strategy · Ability to work in an integrated team environment that includes designers, developers, other architects etc. · Good communication and presentation skills *Education and Certifications * <Company standards> -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "OracleD2K" group.
