Urgent position Location: NYC rate: DOE Duration: 1 year Business analyst with Vendex, or Pip or FMS/3 exp: The responsibilities of the Business Analyst will include: * Investigate and resolve software issues and defects reported by business users and others * Analyze and document business requirements * Investigate and resolve software issues and defects reported by business users and others. * Work with technical analysts to research problems and find and implement solutions. * Test software to ensure it meets specifications and identify any defects * Support business users in the processing of business events. * Run simulations of business event processing * Communicate issues and status to management and others * Perform regular updates to status reports, risk and issue lists and other project management documentation * Facilitate meetings as necessary with test, development, vendor and clients in order to gather status, distill the issues and risks and package into a form appropriate for management escalation * Work with the Project Management Office in order to construct and maintain a project plan * Report on status to management at recurring executive meetings Required Skills & Experience * Procurement business processes and practices * Support analyst experience * Working with planning, process and analysis/reporting tools such as; Oracle, SOL, Crystal Reports, MS Access, Excel.
