Start Date : ASAP InfoSphere (Initiate) MDM - Architect/SME Job Description The MDM Initiate Architect/SME will be interacting with senior business and IT executives as a part of a large MDM program. In addition, the MDM Initiate Architect/SME will provide leadership and hands-on MDM Server technical and functional expertise. The MDM Initiate Architect/SME will define Data Governance/Standardization, Master Data Process Design, High Level and Low Level MDM Architecture and the Implementation Roadmap. The MDM Initiate Architect/SME will also work across business/technology teams to ensure alignment between business solution definition & MDM. This position will work very closely with the MDM Service, ETL development and ESB teams, IT client contacts and project owners to provide team leadership and hands-on IBM MDM Server technical design and functional expertise. This role will drive Master Data Strategy/solutions in MDM, and interact with the Data Governance team where needed. The MDM Initiate Architect/SME will provide solution performance (analysis/tuning) and will work across business/technology teams to ensure alignment between business solution definition & systems architecture. The MDM Initiate Architect/SME will also be responsible for providing guidance in using the Initiate tool and MDM implementations. In addition, the MDM Initiate Architect/SME will provide guidance in working on the Inbound and Outbound broker suite, the Workbench to configure algorithms, adjust weights and thresholds and working with the Initiate SDK. Technical Requirements: - Hands on working knowledge of IBM MDM Server version 8, 8.5, 9.; Provider Version 10 - Hands on data modeling solution design in IBM MDM. - Good client interaction skills Technical/Business/Management experience - 3-4 years experience in MDM Server, hands on and full lifecycle technology implementations as a Lead or Architect - Experience with overall Application Architecture in Master Data Management (MDM) with understanding of different components at the business, technology and data layers - Experience with migration and product upgrades in MDM space including leading non-functional requirements to support the work. - Experience in Technology /Architecture/design services for IBM MDM Healthcare, Provider - Comprehensive knowledge of ETL process in MDM space and associated batch framework including tuning. - Experience with all MDM data domains and schema including banking as well as data/service mapping - Deep understanding of customer data and best practices for its storage and manipulation - Experience in defining/standardizing end to end project life cycle and execution methodologies - Tuning & Performance for large MDM based systems including working with the database & ETL teams for optimization - Comprehensive knowledge of best practices in Design, Development and Testing of large systems - Review and suggest solutions for customer problem tickets as they relate to MDM - 15+ years of total IT experience (at-least 3-4+ years of relevant exp) - Experience with at least 3 MDM implementations using IBM DB2 LUW on AIX - Expertise in integration of IBM MDM with other systems using SOA including ESB as well as understanding of web services, XML schemas, XML and XSLT - Good working knowledge of Java coding using Spring, SpringWS is a plus - Experience with integration into IBM DataPower (XI50), IBM Message Broker, JMS and IBM WebSphere MQ also a plus. Other skills required: - Ability to work in a team environment - sharing ideas and working collaboratively - Strong organizational and analytical skills - Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills - Ability to multi-task and support multiple project initiatives - Taking lead in all the work with minimum supervision. - Evaluates and implements new initiatives on process improvement and technology projects. - Excels at analyzing functional needs that drive the analysis and technical design of quality technical solutions; recommends solutions that are aligned with business / IT strategies and complies with corporate architectural standards.
