Urgent REMOTE position *In-person interview after phone interview: * *Location: Short Hills, NJ* *Rate: DOE* *Duration: 6-9 months with possible extn * *Technical Writer with API, REST, SOAP UI, Mad Cap Flare, Web Services:** * *Key Responsibilities:* 1. Work in close partnership with Technology, Product and the Product Operations team to develop and produce high quality online documentation for an API delivered via SOAP and REST Web Services. This person needs to be forward thinking in how a developer or business person may interact with the documentation. While this individual is not expected to be a developer, they must be comfortable dealing with developers on a day-to-day basis, as well as dealing with code. 2. Manage assigned documentation development and implementation projects to meet both release and customer deadlines. Must act with a sense of urgency but not at the risk of sacrificing quality. 3. May be called on to provide support for other internal, as well as external documentation support as required by others of the Product team. *III. KEY REQUIREMENTS* · 5+ years experience in documenting API or Web Services, preferably within a software development environment. Understanding of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) required. Technical degree or work experience preferred. · Strong background working with XML Schemas, XML, SOAP UI, and API authoring tools. Expertise with documenting API’s using Mad Cap Flare a plus. · Self-starter who is not afraid to ask questions or seek out information. Must also be a team player who can work effectively in a time-sensitive, dynamic environment. · Ability to understand the priorities and scope for document deliverables, to handle fluid priorities and deadlines, and to produce high quality documentation on very tight schedules. Demonstrated project management skills are highly valued. · Strong analytical and problem solving abilities with demonstrated ability to learn quickly. · Ability to define and gain alignment with subject matter experts regarding deliverables where compromises to schedule must be made. Comfortable functioning as part of a broader team while operating as an individual contributor.
