Need a consutlant Immediatley Sure Shot Placement* Job Title : Windows LYNC Engineer Location : Baltimore , MD Duration : 6 Month Contract LYNC Engineer (for this position just focus on a solid Windows Engineer that has done a Lync Implementation before) *Must-haves* 10 years of strong Windows Engineering experience in complex enterprise-level server environments Strong working knowledge of Unified Communications concepts and designs Microsoft Windows 2008 server environment experience (must understand the security and risk implications of a Unified Communications platform) Experience troubleshooting, installing, and administering Microsoft Lync (previously called Microsoft Office Communicator or Office Communication Server) Designing solutions utilizing VMWare or Microsoft Clustering Extensive hands-on Cisco voice and video configuration and operations experience Demonstrated experience using eGenera x86 blade technology. Microsoft Office and Visio skills Troubleshooting and engineering experience with Microsoft Active Directory Excellent oral and written communication skills. (This position will require a high level of customer interaction and presentation responsibilities) * Plus: * Any Cisco certifications Experience with 3-tier architecture Understanding of Voice over IP and telephony technologies Budgeting and labor estimation Experience in working with Microsoft Consulting Services personnel. *Day-to-Day* This candidate will be responsible to provide engineering and operations support for the Unified Communications team. They must have experience maintaining, engineering, and implementing Microsoft Lync 2010 (formerly called Office Communicator or Office Communication Server). They will support the application and maintain user accounts. This person will act as a third level escalation point for problem resolution for the Lync platform, including creating, modifying, and disabling Lync user accounts. They will also support, maintain, and administer voice communications switches, along with testing UC voice and video infrastructure components.
