Location: McLean, VA Duration: 6 months + Responsibilities: 1. The position is responsible for the design, implementation and operation of CheckPoint firewalls, F5 LTM/GTM/ASM devices, BlueCoat Proxies, SourceFire IPS and Cisco routers, switches and VPN equipment. 2. Directly support assigned projects and daily operations, attend meeting, schedule and execute tasks, Provide status updates and ad hoc reports as needed. Work under normal supervision. Provide resolution support for network and network security issues. 3. Follows established directions and change processes. Creates, updates and maintains technical diagrams. Performs and executes controls as required. Support weekend and after hours deployments. Job Duties: 1. Works independently and requires limited supervision. 2. Oversight of individual audits, including planning, scheduling and reporting. 3. Identifies deficiencies in the design and operating effectiveness of controls and provides solutions. 4. Confidently communicates findings and technical needs to the client. 5. Drafts reports and participates in the reporting process. 6. Able to support Data Center builds for Network and Security platform. 7. Attends various internal meetings and client status meetings. 8. Provides clear and concise documentation. 9. Provides useful performance feedback to staff and seniors. 10. Implement work orders for network and network security to include DNS/DHCP, Checkpoint firewall, and BlueCoat proxy F5 load balancer. 11. Performs other duties as assigned Basic Requirements: 1. Strong network and network security trouble shooting skills. 2. At least seven (7) years hands on experience. Preferred Skills: 1. Cisco CCNA certified 2. Strong communications (oral and written) and interpersonal skills. 3. Prior Experience with Checkpoint Provider One application. 4. Prior experience with F5 LTM/GTM/ASM deployment and administration. 5. Prior Experience managing and deploying BlueCoat proxies. 6. Prior experience with Lucent DNS/DHCP QIP administration.
