*Middleware Admin* Location: Southborough, MA Duration: 4 to 8 month contract Client: EMC Candidates must have 5+ years’ experience. Candidates must also be able to clearly explain the details on their resume during the initial phone interview. Client would like local candidates but are not opposed to hiring from a Skype interview. *Job Description:* The Middleware Administrator is responsible for directing, coordinating, and exercising functional authority for planning, organization, control, integration, and completion of assigned projects. The Architect will demonstrate advanced technical knowledge in architecture discipline and broad knowledge of Platform Architecture for the large scale application. *ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES* Administer, configure, and troubleshoot in middleware and web servers ,Enterprise Java Application Servers, WebLogic, Tomcat and IIS. Architect, design and Build platform for large websites and integrations application by using Middleware technologies . Provide engineering, installation, configuration and maintenance for application platforms running with different Middleware technologies. Develop and analyze highly complex system standards, thresholds, and recommendations to maximize system performance. Performance tuning, identify and fix performance bottlenecks and tune the applications using traditional techniques and tools . Maintain documentation on physical and logical layout and assets of the technical architectures and train co-workers as needed to maximize availability and reliability. Provide technical leadership to appropriate personnel on highly complex system administration activities. Work closely with multiple departments as well as provide detailed status reports on assigned projects and ongoing support for assigned systems and applications. *JOB REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:* Experience with middleware platforms (Weblogic , Tomcat ,IIS , ERS ,webservers). Experience in application architecture, platform design build and performance tuning on large scale websites , Integrations , applications etc Experience working with JMS, Web Services, Java and jvm Internals. Background in Linux and/or Windows scripting. Knowledge of Fat wire Content management and GemFire caching . Ability to effectively share technical information with less experienced or knowledgeable co-workers.
