*Position:  Sr. Business System Analyst*
*Duration: 6+ Months*
*Location: Austin, TX*

*Need Only Locals, who can do face to face !!*

The selected BSA will take a leading role in the efforts, processes and
procedures associated with managing all aspects related to the
requirements life cycle process. This position will report to the AE
Information Technology PMO Business Systems Analyst Supervisor.
Services to be performed will include, but not be limited to, the following:

*1. Requirements*
 Investigates and analyzes problems, processes, requirements and related
project documentation, including impact and gap*
analysis of change on the systems and/or business areas, in order to
recommend appropriate alternatives/solutions
 Elicits, gathers, analyzes, and documents requirements (e.g. Functional,
Non-Functional and Technical), processes and use*
cases
 Facilitates and functions as a liaison between business and technical
teams in analyzing and assessing alternatives/solutions*
to meet business and user needs through the requirements
 Manages the requirements life cycle process*
- Collaborates with applicable parties and efforts during the management of
the requirements life cycle process (e.g.
design, testing, etc.)
- Creates, traces and maintains the requirements in the RTM (Requirements
Traceability Matrix) through design,
development and testing (as applicable)

*2. Processes*
 Analyzes and documents the as-is and to-be processes and procedures*
 Assesses and determines viable alternatives/solutions for process
improvement need*
 Uses logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of
alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to*
problems
 Identifies, documents and implements methods, processes and procedures to
strengthen the management of the*
requirements lifecycle process

*3. Peer Reviews*
 Conducts* & participates in peer review session of requirements and
related project documentation, with BSA/PMO associates
on a as needed basis
- Provides constructive feedback, ideas and suggestions to BSA/PMO
associates

*4. Communications*
 Creates weekly status report*
 Communicates status of assignments and ensures deadlines are met*
 Facilitates knowledge sharing and transfer of knowledge among BSA/PMO
associates*

*WORKER SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS (Required)*
Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major
course work in Business or Information Science or
in a field related to the job.
8 Experience as an IT BSA, in eliciting, gathering and documenting
requirements (functional, non-functional, technical)
8 Experience in conducting business/systems process analysis and
documenting the business/systems process flows (as-is
and to-be).
8 Experience in conducting use case analysis and documenting the use cases.
8 Experience in managing the entire requirements life cycle process
8 Experience with structured system methodologies (Waterfall and/or Agile)
and with creating WBS (Work Breakdown
Structure) and schedules.
8 Skilled at facilitation, detailed analysis, process, quality, problem
solving, critical thinking, presentations, solution proposal,
identifying issues, risks, improvement opportunities, and decision making
along with a customer focus, results orientation,
and business sense
8 Skilled at teamwork, communication, innovation, adaptability, and
decision making, along with a customer focus, results
orientation, and business sense
8 Skilled at multitasking and meeting tight deadlines
8 Skilled in documenting, tracking, and collaborating on how requirements
are met throughout testing.
5 Experience in conducting and/or participating in peer reviews of
requirements and related project documents and providing
constructive peer review feedback
5 Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications (e.g. Word, Excel, Visio,
Outlook, PowerPoint, Project, SharePoint)
2 Experience with and knowledge of regulated utility industry, concepts,
and terminology
2 Experience with and knowledge of financial concepts and terminology
2 Work experience with Wholesale Power Markets in a transactional
environment (preferably an ISO Nodal environment)
including an understanding of wholesale and bilateral power and congestion
transactions as well as financial and physical
hedging transactions related to power, natural gas, and other
energy-related commodities
2 A basic understanding of financial derivative products and related
pricing and valuation methodologies and risk
measurement analytics such as 'Greek Analysis', Value-at-Risk, and Monte
Carlo Simulation
5 Knowledgeable in the use of Microsoft Project Server

2 Prior experience working with Computer Off The Shelf (COTS) configured
and customized projects
