Job Title: Linux Engineer Location: Richfield, MN Duration: 1-3 Years *Client notes for this role:* Some additional details on this role. This is a Cloud based environment.. there is no VMWare. Strong Scripting or programming skills are required. This is an Engineer role. What we need for this role as all the candidates are missing the mark. This is an Engineering role.. This is a Cloud environment. Someone who is working in a Data Center environment doing migrations and upgrades and physical server builds would not be a good fit here. This is almost like a programmer/production support role.. They are deploying applications to the servers, doing application configurations, performance tuning, testing. The 'own' the applications at this point ensuring no downtime. Make recommendations for improvements in areas they identify need improvement. They must have STRONG scripting skills for Linux. Seeking a Linux Administrator who is well versed in the following; Application Deployments Performance Testing/Tuning Configurations Apache/Tomcat VPN is a plus. NOSQL experience is a HUGE plus. Communication skills and personality are VERY important to this manager as this contractor will be there for years.. Not looking for candidates who have done primarily migration work..
