*Job Title: SSRS DeveloperLocation: New Haven, CT Duration: 6-12 Months ContractNeed Independent US Citizen or Green Card only* Responsibilities: Perform various coding, debugging and unit testing tasks in support of assigned project. Provide ongoing maintenance and support for assigned applications and/or systems. Participate in the estimation of work and provide input into the project plan for delivering that work. Provide ongoing input to the establishment of programming standards and methodologies. Apply current programming standards and methodologies to all relevant projects and activities. Participate in training and mentoring of technical staff. Position may require off-hours system support, including periodic on-call responsibilities. Required Skills: Bachelor’s degree and four years relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience with Reporting/BI tools, preferred SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS). Strong Experience with SQL Server, including T-SQL, Stored Procedures, and development of complex queries. Experience with version control systems, preferred SVN. Experience with XML and XSLT. Experience in creating dashboards or other executive-level reports. Optional, beneficial skills and training. Familiarity with fund raising systems, preferred: Blackbaud Enterprise Constituent Relationship Management. Experience with ETL tools, preferred SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS). Experience with Tableau Business Analytics software. An understanding of OLAP Cubes. Skills and abilities . Proven ability to design and develop applications targeting specific technologies and user communities. Excellent understanding of application design principles and the ability to execute those principles. Excellent organization skills, specifically with assigned tasks and use of time. Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills. An ability to understand complex business rules in a short amount of time Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work independently and/or as a member of a team. Ability to manage multiple tasks, while keeping priorities aligned. Must be a fast learner with a strong desire and motivation to learn new technologies.
