Qualifications: The Enterprise Architect must be well versed understanding of the information technology landscape - stretching from applications, client, server, emerging technology standards and trends is required. Strong interpersonal skills as well as solid strategic thinking are key requirements for this position. The ability to communicate technical solutions to non-technical personnel is also required. Qualifications/Necessary Skills: Full life cycle software development experience of large-scale enterprise applications (requirements, design, implementation, integration, testing); Experience in developing and driving SOA strategies within large enterprises. Experience designing and implementing n-tiered application architectures; Must have led functional or enterprise wide architecture planning and development of a multi-year roadmap Understands technology impact of emerging trends, such as, cloud and mobility on business CIO/CTO Level discussions / able to present precisely to CIO and other C-level executives Excellent written and oral communication skills Strong listening skills and the ability to project confidence and instill trust Have experience in leading/controlling/organizing technical meetings. Directs client meetings in a positive direction. Considered a trusted adviser Experience: 5-8 years experience in enterprise systems and software development environments with increasing responsibility leading to system architecture experience in large-scale software intensive environments. Experience in the following Open Source technologies Apache Cassandra Apache Kafka Akka Apache Mesos Finagle / Finatra Apache Avro / Apache Thrift Scala Experience working in an Agile environment 5 years of professional Java/J2EE or .NET programming experience 5 years of demonstrated system architecture experience required. A background in large-scale software development is essential. A masters degree or higher in computer science or a related technical discipline is preferred; bachelors in computer science or a related engineering or technical field is required.
