IIS and FTP Resource:
The candidate providing services will need the following qualifications,
skills and abilities:
· Expert with 5+ years’ experience installing, testing, implementing and
troubleshooting Microsoft IIS (ver. 6 and 7.5) and Globalscape FTP.
*· Expert with 5+ years’ experience maintaining application server systems
software packages on an ongoing basis to remain at recommended release
level and to resolve problems in order to maintain system stability. *
· Strong knowledge of MS Windows 2008/2012, Active Directory, the
intricacies of its configuration, as well as application and system
integration.
*· Strong knowledge maintaining and communicating implementation schedules
for the application of corrective software maintenance, to resolve known
problems and maintain overall server stability. *
· Skills in monitoring server, storage, and application utilization data.
· Skills in maintaining records of tuning changes made and their effect on
total resource utilization.
*Description*
Systems Engineer Leads will be the technical leads for several Department
of Administration projects. The responsibilities include leading efforts in
design, planning, execution and installation of current and new
infrastructure to support other agency applications and technologies.
Duties can include performing software and hardware upgrades, migrating and
implementing systems within enterprise infrastructure standards, disaster
recovery and backup planning and execution, customer support,
troubleshooting, answering technical questions, & providing recommendations
to senior management.
Candidate should have:
* Extensive experience with standard industry practices including a variety
of server types, clustering, and load balancing techniques.
* Possess considerable logic and understanding to analyze and troubleshoot
problems and be able to prioritize trouble calls and respond to
emergencies.
* Demonstrates expertise in a variety of the field's concepts, practices,
and procedures.
* Extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals and be
able to perform a variety of tasks.
This position typically requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty
and at least 5 years of experience in the field or in a related area. A
wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Currently we have 5
different technical areas needing coverage. Those details are included in
the attached word document. The Qualifications section noted below are
qualifications that all candidates require regardless of the specific
