Responsibilities - Design, install, configure, upgrade, and manage Oracle RDBMS 10g, 11g - Configure and manage database maintenance, including backups, reorgs, update statistics, and any additional required maintenance - Apply Oracle-related patches - Manage Oracle clusters as well as environments containing replication - Provide system administration staff with requirements for Oracle host machines - Participate in an on-call rotation as part of a leveraged DBA support team - Represent database administration team in operational as well as project activities #FSC #LIPP *Qualifications* - ITIL foundation certified - Experience working in a retail environment is a plus. - Must possess both excellent technical and customer-facing skills. - Minimum of 7 years of experience while providing operational DBA support to both production and non-production database environments - Oracle 10g, 11g physical DBA activities: - Oracle Logical DBA activities - Logical Database Design - Physical Database Design - Database Security - PL/SQL programming *(not very necessary)* - Design, Install and admin/maintain Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC) - Expert DBA level knowledge of Unix fundamentals and shell scripting - Design, Install and admin/maintain Oracle Data Guard - Design, Install and admin/maintain OEM, Grid Control - Understanding of and experience implementing Oracle Advance Security - Backup and Recovery (RMAN, Cloning, Data Guard, Export/Import) - Resource Monitoring (CPU, memory, I/O, RAC/ASM, etc…) - Oracle patch provisioning. - Experience performance tuning - Diagnostic evaluation (ADDM, AWR, ASH) - Tuning (advisors, SQL tuning, indexing, parti Thanks Chris [email protected] -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "OracleD2K" group.
