*Job Title: Cisco Network Engineer* *Location: Downey, CA (Locals preferred)* *Duration : 1-year* *DESCRIPTION OF WORK / DUTIES* The Consultant shall perform all of the duties listed below: Design, configure, implement, and maintain the Cisco ASA firewall with virtual contexts and IPS 4260/70 systems. Work with the Security Division and various customers to migrate approximately 10,000 connections from the old Cisco ASA and PIX to the new Cisco ASA virtual context firewalls. Troubleshoot the Cisco firewall and IPS system when needed. Conduct firmware and software upgrades to maintain the Cisco ASA and IPS systems. Provide after-hours support for the Cisco ASA and IPS equipment. Provide cross training to internal team members. Provide consultation and configuration support to internal and external customers with the Site-to-Site firewall connections. Provide documentation of the Cisco ASA and IPS configurations and provide a runbook. *MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS* The Consultant must meet all of the following minimum qualifications: Three (3) years’ experience within the last five (5) years as a network administrator using Cisco network equipment for enterprise environments. Network experience includes creating/modifying VLANs, Access Control Lists, SPAN/monitor sessions and individual interface configurations. Types of Cisco network equipment experience include all of the following: Cisco Nexus 7000, Cisco Nexus 5000, Cisco Nexus 2000 running NX-OS version 5.x and 6.x. Cisco Catalyst 6509 running version IOS 12.2 Cisco Catalyst 3750 running version IOS 12.2 Cisco ASA 5500 series running version 8.2(5) Three (3) years’ of experience within the last five (5) years with Cisco firewall solutions for enterprise environments. Firewall systems include working with IPS and Site-to-Site connections.
