*Job Description*
Our client is looking for an experienced Software Engineer (PHP) to be a
part of its flagship web-app maintenance team.
The ideal candidate will have:
● extensive knowledge of web development
● developed and deployed at least one mission-critical web-application
● provided ongoing support for at least one mission-critical app
The position involves working with Product, UI/UX and middleware
development teams to design and implement applications to specifications.
*Responsibilities*
● Maintain flagship PHP-based application
● Test, debug fix and document legacy code
● Work with Product Management team to release hot-fixes and patches.
*Required Skills*
● 5-7+ years of experience developing software
● Advanced PHP skills (esp. debugging PHP applications)
● Working knowledge of Linux, Bash shell and Secure shell (ssh, putty)
● Working knowledge of MySQL Database
● Working knowledge of REST Web-Services
● Working knowledge of Rule Engines
● Basic cryptography (encryption, decryption, hashing)
● Ability to hand-craft HTML/CSS pages
● Solid HTML/CSS skills
● Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
● Strict attention to detail
● Knowledge of secure programming practices
● Git version control
*Useful Skills*
● PHP Frameworks (Zend, Symfony)
● Working knowledge of Workflow engines
● Exposure to SCRUM/Agile development methodologies
