*Description*:

The *Senior Oracle Database Administrator *will be responsible for
developing complex database systems, assisting the development teams in the
design, development, and implementation of Oracle objects. The applications
groups rely on the DBA for guidance on design and implementation, including
SQL stored procedures, triggers, functions and schemas.

Must work well with others.

*Experience Level: 5+ Years*

*Must-Have*

   - 5+ Years DBA Experience handling Oracle 9i, 10g and 11g production
   databases
   - 3 years administering UNIX , Solaris and Linux operating systems
   - Excellent communications skills
   - Strong teamwork skills essential
   - Installation, configuration Oracle server software and related
   products such as Data Guard and
   - RAC on Red Hat Linux platform
   - *Real Application Cluster (RAC) experience is a must*
   - *Very good performance tuning. Has worked with Statspack, AWR, SQL
   tuning, TKPROF extensively.*
   - *Implement backup and recovery of the Oracle database and good
   exposure to RMAN*
   - *Good exposure to Database upgrades both version and patch set and
   database migrations*
   - *Setup and maintain documentation and standards*
   - *Mentor team members*
   - *Worked in 24X7 production support although not required in this
   environment*
   - *Database monitoring tools*

*Responsibilities:*

   - *Troubleshooting for day to day issues in Oracle DBA
   production/non-prod environment on a two nodes RAC.*
   - *Client interaction and Coordination with vendors*
   - *Creates UNIX Shell scripts and PL/SQL scripts to support automation
   and*
   - *security enhancement initiatives*
   - *Develops and maintains the database configuration documentation*
   - *Monitors database security by controlling and monitoring user access*
   - *Documents problems and actions taken to resolve the problem*
   - *Assists with task automation and process improvements, as directed*
   - *Researches, reviews and develops database designs for new projects*
   - *Creates and maintains database structures and objects*
   - *Assists with the development and execution of capacity plans.
   Monitors and meets established capacity plan standards*
   - *Monitors the performance and growth and prepares entities,
   attributes, and relationships for required transaction and data volumes*
   - Performs root cause analysis of infrastructure problems; identifies
   solutions and makes  recommendations; takes appropriate remedial steps
   towards resolution
   - Performs the allocation of disk storage spaces
   - Executes database backup and recovery strategies
   - Participates in implementation and maintenance of disaster recovery
   plans
   -
   - Maintains established service level agreements to meet customer
   expectations and quality standards.
