Role:-Java Lead
Location: Des Moines, IA
Duration:-12+ Months
Description:
Responsibilities:
To lead, and perform development activities for PCI Compliance project,
primarily on multiple internet-facing web applications. Work closely with
business and technical teams from initial analysis through implementation &
go-live. Help the client management with project plan, and track
development progress on the project. Understand, and follow the client
SDLC, Change Management, and Escalation process. Work with the
onshore/offshore IT model to assign tasks and/or track & report progress of
the Development/QA IT team.
Requirements:
Hands-on experience defining, designing, and developing JEE based
internet-facing web applications preferably for eCommerce, or large-scale
high-volume transaction-based web systems.
Prior lead experience, and willingness to lead and/or mentor other core
team members in an onsite/offshore environment.
Expert-level Java EE/J2EE skills including knowledge of core libraries,
session management, common design patterns
Knowledge of Java open source technologies and frameworks (Apache
Wicket, Hibernate, Struts, Spring, JSF – at least , one or two ).
XML, SOAP, Servlet, API / Web Service technologies.
Web user interface technologies (HTML, JSP, Tag Libraries, AJAX,
JavaScript).
Application Server (such as JBoss or WebLogic) experience.
Web Services - integration or development experience.
Demonstrated team leadership skills and a track record of owning what
you create.
Ability to coordinate and work with inter-departmental or
cross-functional teams.
Experience with Agile development methodology
Ability to manage competing priorities in a complex environment and
maintain high productivity.
Nice to have:
Linux skills
SQL/database skills in a high transaction SQL environment.
PCI DSS 3.0
Insurance or Financial industry experience.
