*Network Engineer*

*Location: Alhambra, CA*

*Duration: 12 Months contract*



*Summary*

The primary function of this position is to maintain, monitor, correct and
manage data to ensure timely incident resolution of system and client
outages. This position ensures quick solutions through prompt escalation of
incidents within the company. Maintains an awareness of constant change
occurring in the network, (systems and application – to come later) areas
to facilitate the identification, analysis, and resolution of potential
incidents before they are visible to the client.  The individual will be
responsible for troubleshooting and analyzing high severity incidents and
following established Incident Management processes and policies. Using
automated systems to record data, the individual will correct/fix incidents
independently by providing engineering level diagnostics and fault
resolution of hardware and software incidents by consulting with technical
staff as needed, to maintain and exceed availability expectations



*Requirements*

·         Demonstrated experience with: Cisco Routers/Switches, TCP/IP,
Subnets, Routings, VLAN’s, Wireless LAN, and VOIP.

·         Must be able to work with IT support on troubleshooting network
connectivity issue for end devices. Need to know how to check and modify
VLAN information as needed.

·         Must be able to work with TCC to check for circuit status or
perform loopback testing if applicable.

·         Must know how to verify the health of a networking device.

·         Must be able to perform basic commands to display arp table,
routing table, mac address table, cdp neighbor, in order to troubleshoot
and isolate issue.

·         Must be able to check for EtherChannel and trunk links for
errors.

·         Must be able to find rogue router and remove it from the network
to stabilize the environment.

·         Able to check if Cisco ISE is in question and know how to bypass
it.

·         Must be able to do Subnetting to provide correct IP address
information.

·         Use various networking tools such as NetScout or Splunk to
troubleshoot network connectivity or performance issue.

·         Must know how to check for basic VOIP issue

*Qualifications*

·         Education:

·         Bachelor  Degree in Information technology (Information Systems)

·         CCNA certificate renewal

·         MCP (Microsoft Certified Professional)

·         MCSE (Microsoft Certified System Engineer)

·         CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associates)

·         CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional)
