*Job Description::*
*Cognos BI (L3)* - Application Packaging - Entry level position. Works
under high degree ofsupervision. Works in application packaging or
application compatibility testing, Capable of working mostly on Simple
requests. This involves, package creation and Application compatibility
testing.
- 10+ years of experience.
- As an IT Solutions Architect Lead or Consultant, you will play a key
role in driving the technical direction.
- Researching and designing solutions for BI projects that may span
multiple platforms or domains, you will work closely with Project Managers,
Sponsors other architects, and developers on large efforts or projects
within IT.
- You will be responsible for ensuring your solutions are aligned with
those architectures and roadmaps within the platforms and domains you
support, along with the overreaching enterprise architectural direction.
- Strong working knowledge of BI Architecture with the ability to
analyze and resolve moderately complex, cross-system issues, and
demonstrate an understanding of BI technologies ( Specifically Cognos based
BI Solution)
- Architectural modeling and diagramming skills
- Can balance long-term (" big picture" ) and short-term implications of
decisions (solutions architectural roadmap as-is and to-be states)
- Able to see and articulate patterns and relationships between
technologies, processes, business models and people
- Able to conduct cost/benefit and risk/reward analyses and incorporate
into solution options and recommendations
- Presentation, facilitation and conflict resolution skills
- Negotiation skills can successfully resolve moderately complex issues
(escalating those that require management involvement when necessary)
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship building skills
with the ability to quickly establish credibility and influence across
organizational boundaries while leading others through change
- Able to work in a team-oriented environment: demonstrates flexibility
and collaboration, actively seeks out diverse opinions and perspectives
when formulating decisions and recommendations and independently organizes
all team resources to solve solution design and delivery concerns
