*Direct Client Requirement : Role :* Cisco Engineer with CUCM

*Location : *Phoenix (located in North Phoenix off I-17 and HWY 101

*Duration :* one year contract

*Qualifications*:

5+ years engineering experience supporting large complex Cisco voice
implementations.  General knowledge of communications and networking
theory; network design and tuning.  Solid working knowledge of both IP
based networks and ISDN networks required.  Possesses strong analytical and
problem solving, time management and organizational skills.  Recent hands
on experience with CUCM V9.x and 10.x, Jabber and TelePresence a plus.


• Experience in prevailing industry voice architecture and engineering
methodologies - MSF and ITIL preferred. Must have an understanding of how
to identify and instill industry best practices.
• Extensive experience with voice infrastructure and server theories,
principles and concepts; voice application infrastructure and standards;
networking fundamentals; Windows, Linux; SAN storage systems; clustering;
physical server architecture; Voice mail; SIP; VOIP; Trunking.
• Practical knowledge of voice applications and voice infrastructure
technologies (i.e. Cisco/Avaya).
• Ability to translate technical issues into understandable business
language for end users.
• Must understand impact of network and voice solutions on business
operations.
• Demonstrated ability to provide technical and operational leadership to
IT professionals.
• Strong IT management, documentation, planning and organizational skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and respond under
pressure.
• Proven ability to work both independently and as a part of a team.
• Excellent problem solving skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

• Preferred-Typically holds a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer
Science, Information Systems or other related field (or has equivalent work
experience).
• Preferred-Certifications (i.e. CCNA, Avaya) and Telepresence knowledge a
plus.
• Specific design, installation and administration knowledge in Cisco UCM
is essential, with Avaya installation knowledge preferred
• May have responsibility for coaching and mentoring junior technical and
non- technical staff.
• Use thought leadership and innovation to recommend improvements to
overall operational efficiency within the voice infrastructure
