Kindly review the requirement and if interested please send me an updated copy of resume with contact details. *Position:: Senior Hadoop Administrator* *Location:: Sunnyvale, CA* *Duration:: Long term contract* *Description::* - Responsible for planning and designing and setting up Hadoop Clusters. - Responsible for managing the clusters, back-up, recovery, maintenance and smooth operations of the clusters. - Must have knowledge of hardware systems and have excellent understanding of Hadoop architectures/ecosystem. - Strong Scripting skills in Linux Environment and system management experience. - Strong experience working with open-source cutting edge technologies. - Hands on experience in HDFS, YARN, Hadoop MapReduce, Hive, Oozie, HBase, Hue and ZooKeeper - Knowledge of HBase Administration. - Ability to administer to several projects on multiple clusters, with job scheduling, operations and management. - Familiarity with Hive data access patterns and basic MapReduce tuning - Extensive knowledge of UNIX/Linux - Experience with common Big Data technologies such as Cassandra, Hadoop, HBase, Storm, Impala, Kafka, and/or other large-scale distributed systems - Ideally a Bachelor\s degree in Computer Science or related field required.
