Position : *SCCM expert* Location : Columbus, Ohio SCCM expert/consultant (someone who can break, fix and configure SCCM) for a long term consulting opportunity with one of our clients here in Columbus, Ohio Microsoft System Center 2012 (SCCM) Administrator BWC is searching for one (1) highly skilled individual to fill the role of an SCCM expert. This is a replacement position. Based on the start date, approximately 400 hours projected through June 30, 2015. There is a possibility of extension that is subject to budgetary & administrative approval. We prefer candidates with whom you already have experience, not internet solicitations. Successful candidates will be self-starters and detail oriented. Candidates must be able to work both independently and as team members to produce on time results and meet all project deadlines. Initial interviews will be conducted over the phone, selected candidates will advance to face-to-face interviews, may include Skype. Critical deadlines for this RFQ are provided above. Vendors need only respond if all deadlines are attainable, regardless of non-workdays, holidays, weather conditions or other interferences. *Job Duties* Primary SCCM 2012 duties include managing desktop, mobile, and server endpoints. This includes deploying software, 3rd party vendor updates and patches, and Microsoft security patches. Monitoring overall SCCM 2012 client health. Primary Server Administrator duties include support production and test environment servers (Windows Server 2003, 2008, 2012) and related business applications, also working with business owners to evaluate requests for new software deployments, updates, etc. Utilize Change Management processes (i.e. meeting deadlines, fulfilling requirements.) Participate and/or support other teams during integration and change projects, as they arise. Other support duties include working with Tier 2 support personnel to resolve client issues, software installation, configurations, deployments, OS related issues. Troubleshoot issues by providing guidance and mentoring to Tier 2 support personnel. Update and or create documentation related to all of these duties. *Education Required * · Four year college degree *Certifications Preferred * · MCTS: Administering and Deploying System Center 2012 Configuration Manager Certification · Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE or higher certified) *Skills Required* · 3 to 5 years supporting SCCM environment. · Previous work experience as a Windows System administrator supporting a large enterprise. Ø Support production and test environment servers (Windows Server 2003, 2008, 2012) and related business applications. · Experience in Active Directory: OUs and policy inheritance. Create and edit policy. Manage user objects. · Management of Windows Server 2003/2008/2012 Operating Systems (i.e. settings, services, roles, security) · Experience with virtualization technologies, such as VMware, a plus. · Experienced in managing 5000+ endpoints. · Must be able to evaluate the risks and effectiveness associated with software deployments, updates, etc. · Participate in enterprise wide projects. Provide expertise related to client management using SCCM 2012. · Application Packaging using various wrappers such as Install Shield, Admin Studio, ORCA or similar tools. · Scripting experience including batch files, PowerShell. · Deploy applications using SCCM 2012. Target collections of users. · Monitor application and package deployment for success or failure. Troubleshoot if necessary. · Configuring Security Patch Deployment Packages using SCCM 2012. · Remediation of SCCM client health issues including monitoring for Patch Compliance. · 2 years’ experience in SCCM Operating System imaging management and deployment. Experience using Microsoft tools (Windows Automated Installation Kit, Task Sequences of SCCM). Troubleshoot OS deployment to clients. · Support a variety of workstation hardware models (desktops and laptops). Configure, install, and troubleshoot issues. · Experience reporting with SCCM 2012. Be able to modify/create reports. · Evaluate SQL Server concepts and queries as they relate to SCCM 2012. · Installing, Configuring and Troubleshooting Microsoft System Center 2012 Products. · Provide Tier 3 level support for servers related to the System Center environment. · Evaluates current procedures and processes for accomplishing department objectives and continuously develops and implements improved practices. · Provide Tier 3 level support for field technicians as it relates to application installation, basic troubleshooting hardware and or OS. · Responsible for proper escalation, communications, and management of production system problems · Contact vendors for problem and incident resolution. *Schedule: * Normal business hours (between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM) Monday through Friday, 40 hours a week.
